Purpose This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning method in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students. Design/methodology/approach - This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using vocabulary tests and analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS. Findings/results The results showed a significant improvement in students’ scores, increasing from 66.60 (pretest) to 82.95 (posttest), with a gain of 16.35 points. Statistical analysis indicated a significant difference (p 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of the TGT method. Originality/value - This study highlights the effectiveness of the TGT method in enhancing students’ vocabulary mastery through interactive and cooperative learning activities.

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam), which is caused by the lack of opportunities for students to actively use the language during the learning process. Therefore, a learning model that can encourage students’ active participation is needed. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the cooperative learning model of the Snowball Throwing type on improving the maharah kalam of tenth-grade students at Sunan Ampel Punggur Senior High School. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 13 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through oral tests, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using a normality test, a paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that the students’ average score increased from 16 in the pretest to 20 in the posttest. The paired sample t-test indicated a significance value of 0.000 (0.05), which means that there was a significant difference in students’ speaking ability before and after the treatment. In addition, the N-Gain score of 0.45 was categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model is moderately effective in improving students’ Arabic speaking skills.

This study was conducted in response to the low level of understanding of morphology (ṣarf) among first-level students in Islamic boarding school environments. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of using the "Talking Stick" method on improving students' understanding of morphology. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a control group and pre-test and post-test. Data were collected through observation, documentation, as well as pre-test and post-test assessments. The validity of the research instrument was confirmed, as the calculated r-value exceeded the critical r-value (0.361) at a significance level of 0.05, indicating that the data were normally distributed (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test: p = 0.200 > 0.05). The results of the t-test showed a significant effect in the experimental group (p-value = 0.000 0.05), while no significant difference was found in the control group (p-value = 0.136 > 0.05). Therefore, the effectiveness of the Talking Stick method in improving students' understanding of morphology at the first level of learning was confirmed.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the efforts to develop character through ro'an (mutual cooperation) actions at the Walisongo Sukajadi Islamic Boarding School. The problem is that in the Islamic boarding school there is a ro'an tradition, namely the tradition of mutual cooperation of students in carrying out the mandate of the boarding school caretaker. The Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School is one of the salafiyyah boarding schools in Central Lampung which has two ro'an traditions, namely monthly or grand ro'an and daily ro'an. Daily ro'an is a ro'an that is specifically carried out by students nderek ndalem or nderek kyai. Through this tradition, the boarding school caretaker tries to instill a character of responsibility and honesty in students. This study is a qualitative study where the researcher provides descriptive data in the form of words, pictures, and not values. Data were obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed (1) The implementation of ro'an activities at the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School went well. The implementation of ro'an is divided into two activities, namely ro'an carried out by some students and ro'an carried out by all students. Daily ro'an is carried out by the nderek students and is carried out by coordinating between students so that all work entrusted can be completed properly; (2) Instilling a character of responsibility in students through ro'an, including by giving mandates, giving direction, input, and motivation. Meanwhile, instilling an honest character includes getting students used to being honest in everything they do, and giving students trust; (3) The results of ro'an activities in instilling a character of responsibility make students more responsible in carrying out everything they do. Meanwhile, the impact of ro'an activities in instilling an honest character is that students are used to being honest in everything they do.

Motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Islam Terpadu Tri Bhakti Assalam masih rendah akibat minimnya dorongan belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Islam Terpadu Tri Bhakti Assalam. Kondisi ini mendorong guru PAI untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif, khususnya tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD, guru berharap dapat mengubah dinamika kelas menjadi lebih aktif dan kolaboratif, sehingga motivasi belajar siswa meningkat. Model ini dirancang untuk mendorong interaksi kelompok yang produktif serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, khususnya bagi siswa kelas IX di SMP Islam Terpadu Tri Bhakti Assalam. Pendekatan ini diharapkan tidak hanya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, tetapi juga mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang berfokus pada analisis penggunaan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) holistic. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tiga teknik utama yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses uji keabsahan data yang dilakukan penulis dalam penelitian ini melalui tahapan-tahapan yaitu: Triangulasi Sumber dan triaangulasi data. Hasil peneltian menunjukan penggunaan model STAD secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI. Motivasi yang tumbuh dari metode pembelajaran yang relevan memberikan dorongan positif bagi siswa untuk terus terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dengan memadukan motivasi belajar berbasis individu dan dukungan kolektif melalui model STAD, proses pembelajaran dapat berlangsung lebih efektif, menciptakan siswa yang berprestasi secara akademik sekaligus memiliki karakter yang kuat sesuai dengan ajaran agama.

Hasil belajar peserta didik pada pelajaran IPA masih tergolong rendah. Permasalahannya diantaranya peserta didik sulit memahami pelajaran, siswa kurang tertarik dengan materi yang disampaikan, dan guru tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran yang tepat. Demi mengatasi permasalah tersebut peneliti ingin menerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative learning. Penelitian ini masuk dalam kategori penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang mengacu kepada apa yang dilakukan seorang guru di dalam kelas untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas 5 MIS Al Yazier Rawajitu Utara Mesuji Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025 meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai hasil belajar siwa kelas 5 berjumlah 13 siswa meningkat.jumlah skor post-test pada siklus I adalah 233 dan pada siklus II sebesar 317, sehingga jumlah skor meningkat. Hasil rata-rata nilai pada siklus I 58 dan pada pos test pada siklus II sebesar 79 hasil rata-rata tersebut menujukan bahwa peningkatan sebesar 21%.
